Reviews
The place is very good. Although the food was also nice. But we ordered 2 curries and both were same! No difference in it and even when ordering it noone let us know about it. Was really disappointing just they added different ingredients in that gravy. Over all it was nice. Would surely go again because of its taste.
Fine place for partying or get togethers. Service was good but not a professionally managed place. Food was just fine.
Suggestions to restaurant: Can do heaps better just be more professional. You have got great place.
This place is significantly over priced .
We ordered:
1 vegan butter chicken
1 vegan fish curry
X 2 biryani,
X2 naan.
It took 1.5 hours to arrive (that’s fine post pandemic - I hope it’s because they are so busy)
BUT the total came to $102. That is so expensive for a dinner for two people (admittedly there will be left overs). They didn’t tell us ahead of time that would be the price, when I called they said that their online menu was not up to date and ultimately hung up on me.
I want to support a venue that has vegan options. But $102 for two people is insane ams unreasonable.
We have been here a few times before; it seems to have changed management and isn't quite as fancy as it used to be. But one day when we were walking past we saw signs advertising new vegan menu which excited hubs - they even offer vegan naans! So we decided to give it another go.
We ate in, and the food was great - both vegans were very happy with their meals - it was really cool to be able to get curries with vegan meat substitutes. The vegan lamb had a great texture and the vegan fish korma was really good too.
Meanwhile, I got the tandoori garlic prawns and they were DELICIOUS, as was the chili parantha I had to go with them. All in all, very happy.
The only minor gripes - had some not quite clean cutlery, but they quickly replaced it when asked. Also, the place is quite large and has only one heater so can be chilly in winter! But the service was friendly and really liked the food so will definitely be back again, and highly recommend for vegans as well - great place to go to suit both palates. 😊
North Indian restaurants are so common that they can be hard to differentiate some times. But this place really stands out. I had the chicken vindaloo extra spicy as I feel this is a good measure of a a North Indian place. It was absolutely outstanding. The vegetable curries were equally fantastic. I will be coming back again and again for their curries.
Yummy food and excellent service. Only downside is there was only one heater in the dining area and that was near the entrance -- not many people dine in here I think so the tableware had a dust layer! Once we told the waitress she apologized and placed new tableware for us. I would recommend take away. Food is five star!
We used to go to this place regularly and it was one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Last nights dinner though was not the same.
They must have a new Cheif because all the food was different and microwaved.
Such a pity, I may try them again in a month or 2 but there are other better places to go for now.
Delicious takeaway. Sorry to be a cliché whitey, but delicious butter chicken and the best lamb rogan josh around. Naan is good and onion bhaji are also tasty. Tge service is also friendly. Not the cheapest Indian, but still not expensive, and definitely worth the money. I've also dined in (pre-covid) and it had a nice atmosphere. When I've gone back for takeaway, less so, but hopefully with proper re-opening, it'll build the atmosphere again.
